i pushed for blowpipe even after the nerf. 1365kc. still using bp at many many spots, same with toxic trident, even serp helm is useful. In other words - I feel like zulrah is still almost mandatory (yes yes, you can technically do without it if you get bofa/sang but realistically zulrah is still a way to go imo for non endgame players)A reclined Zulrah method with blowpipe as your only switch. For chambers it will only be noticeably worse on head phase (and big mut). Where shadow actually wins on regular mystics (and don't need a salve!) and vespula. Muspah and Zulrah are comically easy with Bowfa. Zulrah scales are on a high for the quarter so you can make some really good money there right now. If you have a suffering, it's almost completely brainless once you've got a few KC for practice. Muspah is similar, and I found step-back method with Bowfa to be really enjoyable.. I noticed that doing Zulrah rinses through crystal armor charges, whilst being comparable or worse to my older mage only setup (trident of seas + tormented brace + sat heart, no occult), with both getting just under 2 minute kills. Unlike the BP meta where slayer would greatly help the zulrah grind. The slayer grind is still very much necessary for melee and especially mage upgrades, you just get bowfa first.Yeah if T bow is your entire bank and you want access to a lot more content I would definitely recommend selling for bowfa/full crystal plus other slayer gear. Zulrah for example T bow is only about 5% more DPS than bowfa. Now if you only plan on doing the few bosses T bow slaps at then by all means keep it.At Zulrah with Bowfa + thralls I used to get pretty consistent 4 kill trips, 800 kc, very chill. At ToA a Bowfa will carry you through Zebak, Baba, and Wardens with ease in a 150. You can probably push into the 250-300 range before you start to feel the lack of Fang. Hope this can help someone! :) Honestly, learning zulrah with switches is pretty hard, If you have the cash and can buy a bowfa, do bowfa only kills then you only have to worry about prayers. Make sure you have a ring of suffering, learning with recoils is way harder. Once you memorize the rotations zulrah becomes super easy… almost brain dead.I just tried 8 trips to test out Mage+Range, vs just using the bowfa ( 4 trips each ). Keep in mind that this is with 96 range, 99 mage, no cox prayers, and I also only used monkfish and karambwans. I expect the average trips to go up by 1-2 with manta rays once I get a bigger supply.A player attacks a target with Craw's bow.
